Celebrating Grandparents, Godparents and Good Friends Day at Blinky Belle Pre-School

At Blinky Belle Pre-School in Camden, we know that it takes a whole community to raise a child. Grandparents, godparents and good friends play a special role in our children’s lives. They share stories, pass on traditions and offer endless encouragement.

To celebrate these important relationships, we’re hosting a Grandparents, Godparents and Good Friends Day morning tea. It’s a chance to recognise our heritage, our community and the bonds that connect generations.

Why Extended Family Matters in Early Learning

Children feel a real sense of pride and accomplishment when they know the special people in their lives care about their learning. When grandparents and family friends take an interest in what children are discovering at preschool, it builds confidence, strengthens a sense of belonging and shows children that their achievements matter.

Because our space is limited, this celebration is just for the children and their special guests. We’re sorry that parents and siblings are unable to attend on the day.

No Grandparents Nearby? Bring Another Special Person

We understand that not every child has grandparents, and some grandparents won’t be able to make it. Every child is welcome to bring along another special person instead. That could be an aunt or uncle, a family friend or a neighbour, anyone who plays a meaningful part in their life.

If you’re unsure who to invite, please have a chat with your child’s teacher. We’re always happy to help.
